The Truth about Google PageRanks

The Truth about Google PageRanks

The PageRank. The PR, as the cool kids say. A crucial part of search engine optimisation that customers and visitors are often blissfully unaware of.

To some, it is an artful process, to others, a dark art. Whatever your viewpoint, though, here is what I believe is the truth about Google PageRanks.

Organic Works
For all the opinions and tactics each SEO has acquired, the PageRank continues to focus very heavily upon organic links. Whether they're shoehorned into every place possible or generated amongst friends, one thing is certain: it promotes community and interaction.

Promoting Discussion
Interaction and link building by a site owner means that other sites are getting new content, and as a result, conversations form. The recipients of this new content give a link out to the authors but are acquiring new content (which is also a plus in Google's eyes)

In this respect, shoehorned or otherwise, this area of SEO is organic, through and through.

And it's how things should be. Black hat SEO tactics attempt to interfere with these White hat methods, and that's another matter entirely.

The truth about Google PageRanks is that for as long as Google tries to focus on authentic back links, white hat sites are active within the community, and are contributing to the worldwide web with content that neither the author or recipient anticipated.

Good show!
